Adams Ketch Sailing Vessel (60ft-18m)
BIG MAMA is a Joe Adams design, 18 metre (60 foot) steel-hull, ketch-rig, sailing vessel.
She is well known Far North Queensland commercial sailing vessel as she was built in the rainforest of Bloomfield, which is located north of Cape Tribulation and south of Cooktown.
She was custom designed in the mid- 1980s to suit the particular sailing, fishing, diving and charter requirements of business partners living in Far North Queensland, with the Great Barrier Reef as the main area of operation.
She was completed and launched in 1996.
We purchased BIG MAMA in April, 2012, and have reconfigured the vessel as a commercial live aboard vessel.
We offer loads of room in a homely and comfortable environment.
We have two toilet(head) facility on board for your convenience and comfort.
With the original layout designed to accommodate 16 live-aboard guests and crew, BIG MAMA is more intimate now, with our new configuration, we limit our day time guests to 12 and overnight guests to 4-5 max plus 3 crew and Coco the sea dog.
